It brings us great joy to report that no one from the Marquin Salon family was injured in the unexpected events of Monday, January 10, when a car crashed through the west-facing windows of the salon.
Monty would have been in the pathway of the car, had a client not cancelled. Ellen was out-of-state and Asha had not returned from holiday break, or they would have been in the salon, too. We at Marquin Salon feel these are the circumstances of God’s provision for our safety. While our property may be damaged, our lives and health were kept, which matters most. We are grateful.
We are also hopeful, because immediately after the car came into the salon the community followed.
Neighbors offered their time and resources to assist clean-up. Salons offered us space to setup temporary shop nearby. Clients called to ask that we are OK. The best of Chicago came out on the corner of Division and Leavitt in the moments and days following the accident and, for this, we thank you.
Please keep in touch with us and we will keep you in-the-loop. It is good to be together, even virtually, at times like these. Your support means more now than ever.
Best wishes,
Marquin Salon
